Backerkit Almost Complete!
I'm using BK for my surveys & fulfillment (per usual) and I've built both the Pre-Order Store and the Surveys. After the review by the BK team I need to make a few changes, but I'll be ready by the time funding is delivered to me. So, we're ONSCHEDULE!!
This weekend I'll be boothed up at Eagle Con in Fredericskburg, VA (on the campus of The University of Mary Washington), so if you're in the area come by and say hi! After that, I'll be finishing up some page design and edits for the added pages, then finalizing the TPB layout (gotta make sure the added pages don't muck up any two-page spreads, for example.
Blast off with Amber Atoms as she discovers her family history will decide the fate of the galaxy!
OMG why do you people not tell me about these cool projects?!?!?!?!?!!?!? LOL I stumbled upon this campaign by Kelly Yates and I backed it ON THE SPOT! Looks fantastic!!!

Quick Update on This Campaign
I'm in the middle of finalizing the extra pages, reviewing final edits, and getting the cover dress finished (final page count affects spine width), while also building the Backerkit survey and Pre-Order Store assembled. Hoping the have the latter ready by week's end.
For those new to Kickstarter, they'll spend the 7 days after campaign end attempting to collect funds--if you need to update your payment please do so (I was reminded I needed to change cards for THREE campaigns this week because I switched cards). They'll then subtract their fees, Stripe will take their fees, and then they'll pay me and the team (which will end up more like 17 days because we closed late on a Friday). So, all that said, by the time payments clear and are deposited, the digital books will be ready!

I found this book through its creator, Dionysus Zogaris and fell in love with the concept and art style. It's very fresh and cool feeling: fantasty, manga-esque art and pacing, and a really neat story. Another one I'm looking forward to reading!

Yet Another Successfully Funded Campaign!
Thanks to you, another Xion Studios campaign is completed successfully! Now, the hard work begins (for us)! Thank you SO MUCH for believing in this campaign!
What's Next?
Glad you asked! I'll be working on book assembly and rewards purchasing this next week or two, pre-funding some of the rewards out of pocket until Kickstarter sends me the campaign funds (for example, I've already ordered the Pizza Box containers, trading cards, and prints). It takes about a week for KS to collect funds and another week or so to pay me. It will be roughly 14 days until Xion Studios sees the monies pledged to this campaign.
In The Meantime...
... not only will I be working on book assembly and rewards collection, but I'll be building your Backerkit pre-order store and surveys during this time. It's a lot of work, so please forgive me if I'm a little slower than normal in responding to your emails and DMs.

Future projects are already in the works, with Rook: Return to Sender one-shot almost complete, Bluechip & The NEW Teen Force 5 issue 1 (of 5) almost complete, The Fundamentals one-shot about halfway complete, The Spider-Squirrel & Trash Panda Titan-Sized Annual about 40% complete, and a Xion Studios sci-fi light novel (our FIRST!) also in-process, we have a LOT in-store for readers of all sorts! Heck, we're even developing a pulp hero comic, a horror comic, and a whole weird corner of the Xion Universe for you!

I'm BAAAACK!!!
After a week in Las Vegas (for work, not pleasure) and a very full work schedule, I'm finally home. Yay! Okay, now onto our campaign status:

At $8000: 1.7mil SUEDE-FEEL LAMINATE ADDED TO THE COVER FOR ALL PRINT BACKERS (Optional, chosen at Survey time)
Also, I added this BONUS STRETCH GOAL for all backers of the physical TPB from $35 tier and up: a custom pizza box for your book(s) and swag! This box measures 7.5in. x 11in. x 1in. (19cm x 28cm x 2,5cm), and will ship inside additional packaging (to preserve the pizza box as much as possible). This item is also available as an Add-On for any physical rewards tier.

I'm a friend and fan of Michael Katz and Keith Champagne, and a huge fan of classic, "old school" or neo-retro comics like this one! Plus: KEVIN MAGUIRE!!!

We are over $7k which means we are now adding the Director’s Commentary & Easter Eggs pages to print & digital TPBs!!
